The Sollock is the strongest variant of the Flamelock that can be encountered only as a Commander or in NG+. It attacks by firing either numerous small fireballs, or two big blue fireballs.

Behaviour[]

Sollocks are flying enemies with two ranged fireball attacks that prefers to stay at a certain distance from the player: if you get too close, they'll move away from you, and if you move far away, they'll prioritize closing in on you over attacking. While neither the Sollock nor their small fireballs can pass through walls, as the strongest member of the Fire Elementalists family, they still pose a significant threat. Coupled with their second attack which does go through walls and can cover a large area, it's a good idea to prioritize dealing with them.

Attacks[]

When attacking the player, Sollocks randomly choose between one of their two attacks with no preference for one over the other.

Fireballs[]

The Sollock fires twelve fireballs in quick succession within an arc aimed at the player.
This arc is spread over a bigger angle than that of the Blazelock, covering a large area and making that attack dangerous to simply dodge without cover.
The fireballs are Mid-sized Projectiles that travel in a straight line, do not go through walls and can be countered by a lot of means, like the Tiny Icon Talent Ivy Canopy Ivy Canopy talent, the Tiny Weapon Icon Frying Pan Frying Pan weapon or the Tiny Spell Icon Freeze Strike Freeze Strike spell .

Blue Fireball[]

The Sollock fires two giant blue fireballs one after the other, aimed directly at the player.
The delay between each fireball is significant, and the Sollock refreshes its aim for each, making it possible for this attack to cover a large area if the player moves in between shots.
These fireballs are Large Projectiles that travel slowly in a straight line, go through walls and can be countered by a few spells and talents, like the Tiny Icon Talent Winters Shout Winter's Shout talent or Tiny Spell Icon Gravity Beam Gravity Beam .

Location[]

Initially, Sollocks can only appear as Commanders.

Once you reach NG+1, they can appear as regular enemies through the use of burdens:

Trivia[]

Due to the Lightning Mages taking the Yellow that Sollock used in the original game, Sollock now uses the dark red previously used for the unused miniboss "Sol Mage"
