The McRib is the strongest variant of the Skeleton that can be encountered only as a Commander or in NG+. Though slow walking, its bones and ibs projectiles that can pass through walls and its ability to jump makes it a dangerous enemy.

Behaviour[]

The McRib is a slow walking ranged enemy. It moves with small steps, often going back and forth. It attacks by throwing 2 pair of bones in a tall arc in front of itself or by launching a pair of ribs forward horizontally that returns after some time. It has the ability to jump while performing any of its two attacks making them unpredictable and dangerous. While it doesn't aim, it will adapt which attack it uses based on how far the player is, using its jump and rib attacks more frequently when the player is further away.
It cannot fall off edges on its own, but will get hurt by spikes and environmental hazards (water & clouds) if it falls (or jumps) into them.

Attacks[]

Bones Throw[]

The Mr. Bones throws two pairs of bones high in the air in front of them that travel in a tall arc and accelerate as they go down.
One pair travels in a tight arc close to the McRib, the other, in a wide arc further away thus covering a large area and making it trickier to dodge.
These bones are Mid-sized Projectiles that can pass trough walls and can be countered by a lot of means, like the Tiny Icon Talent Knockout Punch Knockout Punch talent, the Tiny Spell Icon Shield of Thorns Shield of Thorns spell or the Tiny Icon Talent Winters Shout Winter's Shout talent .
While their trajectory is predictable, the bones still pose a threat since they cover a large area and can fall down on you through walls and surprise you if you're lower than the McRib.
Because it can perform this attack by jumping, being above a McRib is just as dangerous.

Ribs Boomerang[]

The Mr. Bones hurls two ribs forward that travel horizontally and are not affected by gravity.
After a set time (or earlier if they reach the room edges) they slow down, stop for a brief moment, and then speed up again as they return toward the McRib like boomerangs.
Though the two ribs depart at the same time, they travel at different speed and split up, one traveling further away than the other. The gap between them widens on the return trip making them harder to predict.
These ribs are Mid-sized Projectiles that can pass trough walls and can be countered by a lot of means, like the Tiny Icon Talent Knockout Punch Knockout Punch talent, the Tiny Spell Icon Shield of Thorns Shield of Thorns spell or the Tiny Icon Talent Winters Shout Winter's Shout talent .
Unless you're at a lower level than the McRib, the ribs' return trajectory, the gap between them coupled with their long lifespan can surprise you.
Because it can perform this attack by jumping, being above a McRib is not safe.

Location[]

Initially, McRib can only appear as Commanders.

Once you reach NG+1, they can appear as regular enemies through the use of burdens:
