The Charite is a flying enemy found in The Sun Tower. It relentlessly hunts the player to inflict contact damage, and also has a short-range charge attack.
Charites are especially dangerous in small rooms, which are numerous in The Sun Tower. They are able to fly through terrain, and upon spotting the player, they fly in a straight line toward them. Upon getting close, they either windup a high-speed charge attack, or they simply keep flying and run into the player for contact damage.
Dealing with Charites is all about positioning. If care is not taken, Charites will just box you in. Like the Doomvas, Charites have a poor turn rate when hitting the corners of the screen, and must make a wide circle when turning around. Position correctly to intercept them.
If encountering a room full of Charites, sometimes it's better to just skip it if possible, as the risk to defeat them is great.
There are 2 tougher versions of the Charite called the Pyrite and the Infernite.
