Class Passive[]
- The Bard’s class passive is Performer. Spin Kicks on enemies stack Dance up to 5 times.
- Each stack increases all damage dealt by the Bard by 15%.
- Stacks are lost if you land.
- Note explosions grant 1 Dance stack per enemy hit.
Weapon
The Bard’s weapon is the Lute.
- The Lute sends out musical notes a short distance from the Bard that hover in place, dealing periodic damage to enemies within range.
- Notes last 6 seconds and block all Mid-sized Projectiles they touch. After 3 seconds they become Golden Notes, which Skill Crit.
- Notes can be Spin Kicked by the Bard to create an explosion, damaging and knocking back all nearby enemies.
- Note Explosions deal Magic Damage, which is different from Bonus Int Scaling. For one, this makes their Critical Damage scale with Eldar
Runes instead of Might Runes. It also means their damage is increased by anything that affects Magic Damage, such as Antikythera or Blessing of Wisdom. - Note Explosions can still apply status effects from weapon-based relics like Lamech's Whetstone and Amaterasu's Sun.
- Spin Kicking Golden Notes makes the explosion a Skill Crit.
- Note Explosions deal Magic Damage, which is different from Bonus Int Scaling. For one, this makes their Critical Damage scale with Eldar
- A maximum of 3 Notes can be active at once.
- The Bard’s Notes don’t deal much damage by themselves, so focus on remaining airborne to continuously Spin Kick Notes to deal most of your damage.
- The Lute is one of the hardest weapons to use, and limited by your environment.
- Becomes easier as you learn the timings and jump heights of Spin Kicks and jump cancelling.
Talent
The Bard’s Talent is Crescendo.
- The Bard shouts in a large AoE, dealing 175% Magic damage and transforming Mid-sized Projectiles into Roses.
- Roses behave the same as Notes, only they do not deal periodic damage.
- 12 second cooldown.

Fabled Class[]
- Press Up/Down on a Bard during Character Select to change them into Rock Stars.
- Must be unlocked in The Soul Shop.
- A Rock Star is the same as a Bard but starts with the .
- Rock Stars have a much more direct approach to combat than Bards. Each Spin Kick generates Kinetic Energy for the Electric Lute and grants a short duration Charged buff to the Rock Star, encouraging a playstyle of Spin Kick - fire, repeat.
Lady Quinn Quotes[]
- Oh, so you’re a Bard this time! You might not be cool looking, but you’re still one of my favorites! Bards are great if you love to i-i-improvise. They sing and dance and prance about, which means they’re constantly moving and are d-difficult to m-master! Bards deal damage in a very d-d-different way from other classes, so if you h-haven’t mastered the Spin Kick y-you should take it slow.
- Did you know that you can bounce off your own notes by kicking them? If you do, they’ll e-e-explode! And those explosions aren’t just for s-show. They’re way s-s-stronger than just dealing damage with the n-notes on their own! And don’t w-worry, the notes don’t disappear after exploding, so you can keep bouncing on the same note for as long as it’s around!
- A b-b-big part of the Bard is keeping the groove goin’. If you Spin Kick off your audience, you’ll build up Dance stacks. The m-more Dance you have, the more bonus Intelligence you’ll receive. This is great, because when your notes explode they deal Magic Damage!
- Y-you only build up Dance if you Spin Kick an enemy, and you lose it all when you t-touch the g-g-ground. So keep those feet up! Here’s another secret. If you kick a n-note and the explosion hits an enemy, you’ll also gain Dance. Neat-o, right? You can also keep bouncing off notes to a-a-avoid losing the Dance stacks you already have. Double neat-o!
- W-w-wanna get high? If y-you’re good at it, you can use your Lute to reach any height you want! Just shoot notes to your s-side, then Dash to them and kick off! People in the know call that little technique ‘Scaling’. … I like b-b-being in the know.
- Don’t f-forget to use your Crescendo Talent! It will transform all m-m-mid-sized projectiles coming at you into musical notes. It’s a great way to turn the t-t-tides! You can use it to avoid an incoming attack or to g-give yourself more notes to p-play with! The only limit is y-your imagination. (And the cooldown.)
