Class Passive[]

  • The Assassin's class passive is Eagle Eye, granting +10% Super Crit. Chance.

Weapon

The Assassin's weapons are the Dual Blades.

  • The Dual Blades hit three times, with the third hit being a Skill Crit.
  • Reduces Talent cooldowns only with the third hit, but it counts as 2 hits.
  • Restores 20 Mana with the full combo, so it's recommended to use spells often.
  • This weapon can be used while Dashing.
    • Dash Attacks are Skill Crits.
    • Naturally, only affects the first 2 strikes while Dashing, as the 3rd is already a Skill Crit.

Talent

The Assassin's Talent is Obscura.

  • Activate to become Tiny StatusEffect Icon Cloaked Cloaked for 3 seconds.
  • While Tiny StatusEffect Icon Cloaked Cloaked, you gain 50% Move Speed and are immune to damage.
  • The first strike against an enemy while Tiny StatusEffect Icon Cloaked Cloaked removes the effect, and applies Tiny StatusEffect Icon Vulnerable Vulnerable for 2 seconds.
    • Tiny StatusEffect Icon Vulnerable Vulnerable makes all attacks against that enemy Skill Crits.
    • "First strike" means that only the first swing of your weapon that breaks Cloaked will apply Vulnerable, and not the first strike that actually hits an enemy.
  • Removing Tiny StatusEffect Icon Cloaked Cloaked gives a brief invulnerability period to allow trades against an attacking enemy.
  • 10-hit recharge.
  • Trivializes many Fairy Chest challenges that employ fireball traps or large spike pits.

Class Tips

Assassins are best built as hybrid casters using both Strength and Intelligence, supplemented by Critical Damage and Super Crits. It's not necessary to build for defense using Armor Sets; using Obscura and grabbing healing or block relics as needed is sufficient.

The Assassin's class passive applies to spells, meaning spells that always Skill Crit, such as Tiny Spell Icon Fungal Spread Fungal Spread and Tiny Spell Icon White Star White Star are especially desirable. Likewise, with skillful use of Obscura's Tiny StatusEffect Icon Vulnerable Vulnerable, any spell can be made to Skill Crit.

The downside of Dual Blades' short range and inability to pierce terrain can also be lessened with spells like Tiny Spell Icon Gravity Beam Gravity Beam, Tiny Spell Icon Magma Mass Magma Mass and Tiny Spell Icon Prismatic Spectrum Prismatic Spectrum.

Fabled Class[]

Shadow Spies
  • Press Up/Down on an Assassin during Character Select to change them into Eventide Spymasters.
  • An Eventide Spymaster is the same as an Assassin but starts with the Tiny Weapon Icon Dragon Fangs Dragon Fangs.
  • The Dragon Fangs are a damage over time-focused version of the Dual Blades, applying Tiny StatusEffect Icon Poison Poison and Tiny StatusEffect Icon Burn Burn with their strikes. Build for Intelligence and use hit-and-run tactics to succeed.

Lady Quinn Quotes[]

  1. L-l-lookin' spooky! Assassins scare me because of their speed and damage! If you wanna get in-and-out, nothin' b-b-eats Assassins with their Dual Blades and their shadowy Cloaks. Seriously. Assassins may be squishy, b-but if you get the hang of them you can wipe out most enemies before they have a chance to strike.
  2. You know that famous third strike of yours? Not only does it deal heavy damage and always Skill Crits, but it reduces the cooldown on your Talent too! So if there's any attack y-y-you want to land, that's the one. And don't forget, the Assassin can move while attacking. So don't stand there like a chump! You gotta always be moving!
  3. When you're Cloaked nothing can hurt you, not e-even spikes! So don't waste it trying to avoid minor scratches. You also get a speed boost while you're stealthed. The b-best Assassins will use their Cloak to give them the high ground, avoid nasty obstacles, or just give themselves some space to think. And if you want to get extra c-c-crazy, if you break your Cloak with an attack, you'll m-make enemies Vulnerable for some spicy damage!
  4. Did'ja know, all Skill Crits can turn into Super Crits? The odds of g-getting a Super Crit are low, but the Assassin's passive gives them a higher chance! Imagine dashing into your e-enemy, landing all three strikes, AND landing a Super Crit at the end!!! Now that's one spicy p-p-pizza.
  5. With two blades, Assassins can build up Mana real quick. So if you're not casting spells, you're missing out on how versatile they are! So start lobbin' that Magic!
